Hee-Kyung Juhn, piano
Pianist Hee-Kyung Juhn was trained at The Juilliard School (M.M.), Indiana University (D.M.), University of Michigan, and Rutgers University (B.M.). Her teachers include Leonard Hokanson, Arthur Greene, Martin Canin, and collaborative pianists Martin Katz and Jonathan Feldman. As a soloist, she has appeared with the New York Classical Players, Pine Bluff Orchestra, and Orquesta Sinfónica de la Ciudad de Asunción, among others. Her recording of J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations on MSR Classics has received praise from Gramophone, American Record Guide, and New York Concert Review.
An active chamber musician and collaborative pianist, Juhn has performed at venues including Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Cultural Center, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. She has taught at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Henderson State University, and other institutions, and has served on the faculty of several summer music festivals. She is currently Assistant Professor of Piano at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
